Linda Lolkus is Associate Professor and Director of Nutrition for the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM) at Indiana University - Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) in the United States.Lolkus has been coordinating nutrition courses offered to students in numerous major areas of study at IPFW for over 15 years. She has also developed and taught courses in food history and culture, the science of cooking, and another course exploring the farm to fork movement. Lolkus has a passion for designing unique educational opportunities to engage students in their learning.In 2009 Lolkus enthusiastically embraced the need for and developed a study abroad program for the students in the HTM program at IPFW. To date she has traveled with four classes of students to Italy to explore the culture and cuisine of the area.Her graduate and undergraduate degrees are in nutrition and dietetics from the University of Nebraska. She has two grown children who both share her love of education AND travel.
