Jo Ritchie is the Professional Practice Manager and ANCC Pathway Program Coordinator at Norwalk Hospital in Connecticut, USA. She serves as the hospital’s team leader of the inter-professional, Catheter Associated Urinary Tract Infection (CAUTI) prevention workgroup. Jo has built a career focused on nursing clinical competency and the value of evidence based practice as an impetus to quality focused, patient centered care. Along with CAUTI prevention, Jo has lectured on the Rapid Response Team at the AACN National Teaching Institute and presented her work on Glycemic Control the ANA National Quality Conference. As a Certified Clinical Nurse Leader, Jo has contributed to the publication of the first CNL review manual. Jo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada and a Master’s degree in Nursing from Fairfield University, USA. In May, 2016, she will graduate with a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Fairfield University.

Denise White

Norwalk Hospital

Denise White RN, CCRN is the Patient Care Director of Critical Care at Norwalk Hospital in Connecticut, USA. Under Denise’s leadership the Intensive Care Unit has been awarded the International Beacon Award for Critical Care Excellence three times. In addition to working on the CAUTI prevention team, Denise introduced photography of pressure breakdown to the hospital to improve patient outcomes and has focused on early mobilization of critically ill patients. She published an article on hyperbaric treatment of the critically ill patient in RN magazine. Denise has built a career around creating units that are patient and family focused, but also provide innovative care.Denise holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Maine, USA and Master’s in Health Care Administration from Western Connecticut State University in Connecticut, USA. In May, 2017, she will graduate with a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Fairfield University, USA.
