Danika Sharek, M.Sc., H.Dip., is a PhD student in the Trinity College Dublin School of Nursing & Midwifery. Her PhD aims to develop, deliver, and evaluate an education intervention for families of people who are transgender. She has a wide range of research experience, including qualitative and quantitative research, mixed methods studies, and evaluation work. Her main research interests include: mental health, education, family, sexuality, and gender identity. Danika has a M.Sc. in Applied Social Research and a Higher Diploma in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education, both from Trinity College Dublin. Her primary research goal is to provide evidence-based support to vulnerable and marginalised groups.
