The recent development of Virtual Reality hardware has made VR affordable to everyone. There are hundreds of startups doing XR - VR, AR or MR. Small and big companies are advertising they are doing XR but real use cases remain usually around demos and marketing. Technology is here but we need to be able to look behind technology into the issues we need to solve.
The idea behind big rooms is to have all the disciplines of the project in one room. This allows to make decisions much faster compared to communicating with email or phone calls. With VR we can get rid of most physical space limitations. Big rooms can be translated into new era by creating virtual big rooms. Those allows designers to collaborate in the same virtual space, their project, making rapid decisions in the design meetings. While using VR one can understand much more information with less misunderstandings when one can show and sketch the ideas.
In this presentation, we will focus how can we make design process itself more efficient in using VR. We will show examples of our own VR collaboration platform which already improves our productivity and processes.
