I would like to introduce myself as Sushil Kumar. I am a Ph.D. research scholar in the Department of Materials & Metallurgical Engineering at Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University) Chandigarh -India. (https:// www.pec.ac.in).  Presently I am doing my research under Ministry of Human Resources and Development (MHRD-India) funded research project entitled ‘Transparent Ceramic Materials & Technology'. The main aim of the project is setting up a Design Innovation Centre (DIC) in the Department of Materials & Metallurgical Engineering at Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University).  During my research under the guidance of Dr. Uma Batra and Dr. J.D. Sharma we are highly focused in the field of transparent ceramics; mainly dealing with Yttria (Y2O3) and YAG based nanopowders for advanced ceramics system like; Nd- Y2O3; Nd-YAG, Er: Y2O3 and Er: YAG; Yb: YAG etc. We have synthesized Yttria and YAG nanopowders by different wet chemical routes (Precipitation, Urea Homogeneous, Sol-gel methods.) Specialized in Thin Films, Bio ceramic coatings, synthesis of advanced ceramic nanopowders and related advanced materials characterization techniques (FESEM, XRD, FTIR, TEM, etc). Hands-on experience in operating with Image analysis software and sample preparation for electron microscopy studies. I have presented my research work in various National and International conferences in India. I have received my B.Tech in the field of Mechanical Engineering (2007-2011) from Punjab Technical University (PTU)- India and Master of Engineering in the field of Industrial Materials and Metallurgy (2011-2013) from Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University) Chandigarh –India.

Abstract
