I am currently a PhD student in the University of Mons (UMONS), Belgium. I am working on the synthesis of a high temperature piezoelectric glass-ceramic and its application as substrate for surface acoustic wave sensors. The goal of this project entitled CUBISM is to monitor humidity and pressure during the drying process of refractory concretes.I studied engineering physics at Polytech Clermont-Ferrand in France, a multidisciplinary formation with a strong focus on materials. My interest in research is due to an internship at CSIR-NIIST ceramic laboratory in Trivandrum, India.

Abstract

Strontium fresnoite glass-ceramic Sr2TiSi2O8 is a piezoelectric material with no Curie temperature. Its macroscopic polarization comes from a crystallographic orientation induced by the surface crystallization of a glass.... [ view full abstract ]
