Nanomaterials, and most especially, semiconductor nanomaterials can feature unique optical properties that can be harvested for different types of applications. In this presentation I will showcase selected examples of materials comprising either nanosized dimensions or nanosized domains, and whose optical properties can be precisely tuned across the UV-vis and NIR range through doping means.
